GMP+ International is an organisation that develops, maintains and facilitates the GMP+ certification scheme. GMP+ is the leading standard for certifying feed safety and sustainability management systems in the feed industry and ensures the safe production of feed throughout the supply chain, from raw materials to trading, chartering, transport, storage and transshipment, production and distribution.

GMP+ International offers a range of products to support feed safety and sustainability throughout the animal production chain. By sharing valuable knowledge, feed companies and certification bodies can safeguard feed safety and sustainability throughout the feed process and ensure compliance with legislation and customer requirements. For example, an Early Warning System helps identify unsafe situations in the supply chain at an early stage. In addition, the Feed Support System provides information on various raw materials, including valuable and up-to-date information on potentially high-risk feed, as well as risk assessments for different products. The GMP+ Academy platform actively gathers and shares knowledge through training courses and webinars, thereby increasing the level of knowledge and expertise within the sector.

The team

The new colleague will join the Certification & Compliance team, a tight-knit and diverse, international group of senior specialists. Most members have over 15 years of experience. It is a team with strong opinions, and they value being challenged.

As a Compliance Assessor, the main goal is to check the work of certification bodies on behalf of GMP+ International. This involves a significant amount of travel, around 60% of the time, predominantly within Europe. The role also serves as an internal consultant, bringing back knowledge from the field to help improve the GMP+ FC scheme.

• Conducting audits at Certification Bodies.
• Conducting parallel audits at GMP+ certified companies and witness audits on GMP+ accepted auditors to verify their work.
• Assessing the knowledge of auditors from certification bodies.
• Providing direct input for changes and improvements to the GMP+ FC scheme based on findings and professional experience.
• Reviewing findings, agreeing on corrective and preventive actions with the Certification Body, and assessing those actions until they are effectively resolved.

• A relevant degree at least at a Bachelor level (e.g., agricultural, food safety/technology, logistics, or transport) or an equivalent level of experience.
• A minimum of five years of auditing experience in feed or food as a lead auditor or in a Quality Management position.
• A lead auditor or lead assessor qualification for a management system standard, such as ISO 9001 or ISO 22000.
• Knowledge of HACCP-based risk assessment, feed or food production processes, and relevant legislation.
• Knowledge of accreditation and certification systems based on ISO 17021 is considered a plus.
• Good communication skills, fluent in English (C1 level), fluency in Dutch (B2 level) or German (B2 level) is considered critical for this role.

• A gross monthly salary between € 5,600,- and € 6,300,-, depending on knowledge and experience.
• Full-time contract (38 hours per week).
